As you can see from the above, some of the core specs are the same, like the screen size and chipset, however the display on the X9c is brighter and the screen resolution has improved.
The newer phone is also a few mms shorter and marginally heavier at only 4g, however it does pack in a massive 6600mAh battery, which Honor claims will last three days. The battery size for a mid-range phone is excellent.
Another key difference on the X9c is the camera, despite being 108MP like last year, it now has an optical image stabilisation (OIS) and electronic image stabilisation (EIS). You may recall, OIS is usually reserved for premium phones.
A major upgrade to the durability of the device, the X9c can now be submerged in water, and can be operated in extreme temperatures.
Lastly, the new X9c has Honor’s AI features, as seen previously on its Magic Series and Honor 200 Series. It introduces Magic Portal, Magic Capsule, Parallel Space and AI Photography features like AI Motion Sensing and AI Eraser.
