Microsoft have revealed pricing and availability for its Surface products in South Africa this afternoon. It follows an announcement via its company blog in May that Surface would finally make its way to our shores.
The launch range includes the Surface Pro 7 and the Surface Laptop 3 in 13.5-inch and 15-inch. The company says its products are aimed at style enthusiasts, future professionals and gaming enthusiasts.
The Surface Pro 7 is a 2-in-1 that features a 12.3-inch touch screen, runs on Intel’s 10th-gen core i7 processor, starting with 4GB of RAM, from 128GB of storage with different configurations and prices for a bump in specs. It supports fast charging, has USB-A and USB-C ports, is ultra-slim and weighs a mere 770g, and comes in black or platinum.
Price: R17 999.
The Surface Laptop 3 at 13.5-inches weighs 1.26kgs, is powered by Intel 10th-gen Core processors, offers 8GB of RAM, 128GB storage (going to up to 1TB), has both USB-C and USB-A ports, offers up to 11.5 hours battery life and fast charging up to 80% in under one hour. It has a 720p webcam, improved thermal cooling, and a large trackpad. The 15-inch variant has custom AMD Ryzen processors, suited for gaming.

There will also be a range of accessories for the Surface, like the Arc mouse, Type Cover, Surface Pen and Surface Dock.
The Surface Pro 7 and Surface Laptop 3 will be available from 29 July at Incredible Connection and Vodacom. All products come with a 90 day technical support and 1 year hardware warranty.
