Huawei South Africa has announced an extended warranty during the nationwide lockdown beginning Friday, 27 March for customers with expiring warranties.
According to a press release, “Mobile phones, tablets, smart wearables, smart home devices and other terminal products – whose warranty expires between 24 March and 30 June 2020 (inclusive) will now have their warranty extended to 30 June 2020.”
Furthermore, Huawei users can request support via the pre-installed Support app on all devices while stores are closed during lockdown. The support app includes a live chat function, and troubleshooting like smart diagnosis, battery, screen, connections, etc.
During the nationwide lockdown, the Huawei customer service hotline 086 086 1111 will be operational from 8am-5pm and will resume to a 24/7 service after the shutdown ends.
