The Honor 200 Lite 5G mid-ranger with a 108MP rear camera will be available in South Africa on 1 July. The company is targeting a younger crowd with its 50MP selfie-camera and 108MP rear camera.

The 108MP triple back camera has wide-angle and depth camera, and a macro lens. Its wide aperture ensure better photos in low-light conditions, plus more artist bokeh effects with depth on portrait shots.

The 50MP selfie-camera offers light for better shots in whatever the lighting conditions may be, and will automatically adjust for indoor and outdoor scenarios.

There’s also an AI wide-angle selfie feature with an automatic field of view switch to adjust based on composition, to transition from individual to group selfies, says Honor. Both the front and rear cameras shoot in 1080p HD.

AI features include Magic Portal for one click access to share content between apps and AI instant movie edits from videos.

It also features Magic Capsule for pill shaped notifications on top of the screen without going into the app; and Parallel Space so you can switch between personal and work life by keeping them separate.

It also had dual SIM card support to further separate personal and work content and apps.

The Honor 200 Lite features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, weighs 166g and is 6.78mm in thickness, available in starry blue and black. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It has a 4500mAh battery and comes with a 35W fast charging plug.

It also has drop protection up to 1.5m, a blue light filter to prevent eye strain, and a side fingerprint button.

Honor says the Magic 200 Lite 5G will be available on 1 July for a recommended retail price of R9 999 but Vodacom has it listed for R8 499.
