For its ninth year anniversary of nav, FNB has shared a major milestone of reaching five million users to date. From that total, one million customers joined in the last 12 month, according to the bank.

Since its launch in 2016, nav has offered FNB customers tools to manage their finance, assets and wellbeing, including their impact in the planet. The digital ecosystem now covers information and coaching across verticals like money, car, home, earth, energy, marketplace, care and now, Graduate.
Jolandé Duvenage, FNB’s Chief Imagineer for nav says over the past nine years, they’ve focused on innovating solutions that go beyond traditional banking.
“Whether they’re a first-time graduate, renovating their first home, growing their net worth or concerned about their impact on the environment, we want to find ways to help them achieve their goals,” says Duvenage.
At a media roundtable in Johannesburg on Tuesday, 18 March, the bank shared other key milestones, like 1.2 million cars loaded onto nav» car, and 54 000 families have found homes on the platform.
Additionally, Marketplace has over 5 600 suppliers loaded, and over 14 000 car and home listings, which has attracted R5 million in revenue.

Lytania Johnson, CEO of FNB Personal Segment says: “In a country with some serious economic and socio-economic challenges, and with a shortage in affordable housing being among the most pressing, it’s humbling to know that our innovation, which stems from a deep understanding of our customers’ needs, is helping to bring dignity, pride and shelter to them at inspiring rates.”
FNB says out of the 5 million users, over 3 million nav» Money users sit in the segment of customers who earn up to R750k per annum.
And to date, 1.1 million smart budgets have been set up with tools found in the FNB banking app.
“As part of our brand’s ethos, we strongly believe that help changes everything in the lives of our customers, and through platforms such as nav», we’re truly able to live out our promise of help,” says Johnson.
FNB nav competition
To celebrate this nine year milestone, FNB has launched an in-app and social media campaign offering both new and existing customers a chance to win a wide range of prizes including a crossover SUV, fuel for the year, gaming consoles, smartphones plus food and apparel vouchers.
New customers can also benefit by switching their cheque account to join the nav» journey too. To this end, we have worked with eBucks partners to provide prizes and vouchers from Haval, Engen, Apple, PlayStation, KFC and Nike,” says Duvenage.
Prizes include: A Haval H6 GT grand prize; PlayStation 5 Slimlines; iPhone 16 Pros; R2000 KFC vouchers; R2000 Nike vouchers; and fuel for a year at Engen.
Visit the FNB app and head to the nav section to get started. Each app task you complete, you get 1 entry to the draw. And if you find and screenshot the special competition badges and post it to social media (X/Twitter; Facebook; and Instagram) and tag FNB with #FNBnavLife, you will earn 100 additional entries for the competition draw. Lastly, if you view qualifying products and offers when completing the task, you will get another 100 additional entries per offer or product.
