iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max pre-orders open in South Africa

The iStore has opened pre-orders for the new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in South Africa. The iStore is the retail arm of the Core Group, one of the distributors of Apple in South Africa.

Customers can pre-order the new iPhones on cash or upgrade their mobile contract from network operators within iStore, such as Vodacom, MTN, Telkom or Cell C from the iStore website.

The new range of iPhones will be available on Friday, 18 September, nationwide.

iPhone 18 Pro vs. iPhone 17 Pro

The iStore is also offering cash back for trade-ins with up to R25 000 off their new iPhones, which it says would bring the price down to R11 699 for a new iPhone 18 Pro. Based on how the iStore calculates trade-in prices, the maximum price quoted would likely be for an iPhone 17 Pro Max at 1TB.

The trade-in values will be paid directly into a bank account or applied as instant store credit. iStore also adds that up to five devices, including iPhone, Mac, iPad, Apple Watch, or an Android or Windows PC, can be traded in at once.

Customers who pre-order via iStore will receive free iCarePlus, values at R1999, which covers a two-year warranty period and screen repair protection, with free set-up, personalised training, and data transfer from Apple-trained specialists, it says.
