MTN Showmax Bundles Quick Look
- Showmax Premier League LivePass – R79pm with data for all live matches
- Showmax Entertainament Weekly – R19pm with 1GB
- Showmax Entertainment Mobile – R59pm with 2GB + 3GB promo
Showmax will offer a first of its kind Premier League subscription for R69 per month at launch, but MTN has made a compelling data streaming offer, which includes the Showmax subscription fee for just R79 a month.
According to MTN, the Showmax Premier League LivePass will include data for all live games, subject to a fair usage policy. It adds that there is “enough data to watch all Premier League games on a mobile device on Showmax’s default data setting.”
Other bundles include a Showmax Entertainment Weekly bundle + 1GB of streaming data for R19 per week that will let customers watch up to 25 hours of TV at 40MB per hour.
The Showmax Entertainment Mobile with 2GB + 3GB Promotional Data will cover 5GB for R59 per month. It says 2GB of video streaming data is included, plus 3GB of promotional data during the offer period, which equates to 50 hours of viewing per month.
With these offers, MTN introduces the first ever weekly entertainment mobile bundle at R19 a week, with access to Showmax Originals, international and local series, movies and kids’ shows.
MTN says, “Customers can binge up to 25 hours of content each week for less than the price of a cup of coffee when using Showmax’s data-saving setting that caps data usage at 40MB an hour. This offers one of the most flexible and budget-friendly options for consumers.”
Jason Probert, GM for Digital Services at MTN SA says: “This game-changing collaboration sees a greater focus on affordable offerings that will bring diverse and entertaining content to new South African audiences. Customers will be able to sign up from 12 February via MTN Play (https://play.mtn.co.za) and at www.mtn.co.za.”
