Vivo has unveiled its new X300 Pro and X300 in South Africa at a media event in Johannesburg on Thursday, 29 January. The Vivo X300 Pro shares a lot of similarities with its sister brand flagship, the Oppo Find X9 Pro, which landed here last November.

The X300 Pro stands out for being the first official flagship with an optional 2.35x telephoto lens extender kit that has a built-in battery. The Vivo X300 was also introduced alongside the flagship Pro model.
The release of this premium device was based on the success of the X200 Pro in South Africa, according to Tony Shi, general manager of Vivo South Africa.
