Vivo V60 Lite 5G launched in SA

Vivo South Africa has released its new V60 Lite 5G smartphone with AI features for R12 999, giving consumers more choice in this crowded mid-range segment.

It features a 6.77-inch display in a slim 7.69mm body. It packs in a large 6500mAh battery with a 90W charging plug that will take it from 1% to 100% in under an hour.

The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chipset and 12GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM. It has 50MP + 8MP rear dual cameras featuring its AI Master Aura Light Portrait System for portrait shots in most lighting conditions. Other AI capabilities on the camera includes AI Erase 3.0 and AI Photo Enhance.

Designed with gaming in mind, it offers what Vivo claims to be a first of its kind “Bypass Charging” in Ultra Game mode where it directs power to the system instead of the battery.

The company says it reduces heat generation to keep “performance smooth and stable and extends overall battery health”.

It features a 32MP selfie camera but both front and rear cameras shoot in 4K, with a Film Camera mode.

Durability comes in the form of impact resistance and an IP65 dust and water resistance.

The Vivo V60 Lite 5G comes in blue and black and Vivo’s offer with a one-time free screen repair, a back cover and camera glass cover, valued at R4000.

Available at Vodacom and Cell C for R12 999, it is bundled with a smartwatch.
