Samsung made a slew of announcements yesterday at Unpacked 2020 via a livestream. I’m not here to rehash the news or updates you’ve seen. I had the opportunity to visit the Samsung Head Office in Bryanston yesterday and get a hands on with the new products.
I also got local prices for everything announced.
The Galaxy ecosystem of devices announced yesterday includes the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra with 5G variants; Tab S7+ and S7; Watch 3 and LTE variants; and the Galaxy Buds Live.
Note 20 4G – R24 999
Note 20 5G – R27 999
Note 20 Ultra 4G – not a focus for SA
Note 20 Ultra 5G – R36 999
Tab S7 – R19 999
Tab S7+ – not coming to SA
Watch 3 LTE 45mm – R10 499
Watch 3 LTE 41mm – R9 999
Watch 3 B/T 45mm – R9499
Watch 3 B/T 41mm – R8999
Galaxy Buds Live – R3999
Galaxy Z Fold 2 – no pricing confirmed but Samsung Africa CEO Sung Yoon told me it will roughly be in the same price bracket as the previous one, around R35k. TBC. However, due to the success of the Z Flip, they will bring larger quantities this time.
PRE-ORDER OFFER
If you pre-order the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra between 5-23 August, you will receive a R4000 voucher for the Samsung online store, which you can redeem for the Galaxy Buds Live (same price point).
