Logitech introduces G502 X gaming mouse

The Logitech G502 X next generation of gaming mice has been revealed will be available in three versions. The G502 X will have a wired, wireless and plus options in either black or white. All six variants will be available in the South African market at the end of September.

The model naming convention is as follows G502 X, G502 X Lightspeed, and G502 X Plus. The lineup introduces Logitech’s Lightforce hybrid optical-mechanical switches. The next-gen mouse is lighter, and includes design and engineering updates. The Lightforce feature is currently exclusive to the range, and Logitech promises speed and reliability, along with precise actuation with crisp response.

The company says describes its new tech as:

The G502 X has a redesigned, reversible and removable DPI-shift button to accommodate hand sizes and grip styles and a redesigned scroll wheel with higher stability and reduced weight. It retains the G502’s iconic dual hyper-fast infinite scroll and precise ratchet modes, USB-C charging for wireless versions, as well as a thin-wall exoskeleton for weight reduction and maximum rigidity.

The mouse also has a Hero 25K high-precision gaming sensor that offers a 1:1 ratio accuracy at sub-micron levels and zero smoothing, filtering or acceleration.

Logitech says the G502 X in the wired version features a response times 68% faster than the previous generation. The receiver also lets gamers connect two Lightspeed devices to it using the Device Pairing Tool in G Hub. The G502 X works with the receiver from the Logitech G915, G915 TKL, or G715 gaming keyboards. They are also compatible with the Logitech G Powerplay wireless charging mats for unlimited battery life with cables.

The top of the range G502 X Plus comes with Lightsync RGB that supports a flowing 8-LED lighting, which is customisable and adapts as the user plays with during startup and power-down effects and battery optimisation through active play detection.

Pricing and availability

The Logitech G502 X, G502 X Lightspeed and G502 X Plus gaming mice in black and white, so six in total, will be in South Africa from October 2022 at these price points:
