If you have an iPhone X, you might be wondering how to clear the RAM without a home button. I previously showed you how to do it for iPhone/iPad because those have home buttons, so here is a follow up.
If you want quick optimal performance from your X, this is what you need to do, it is slightly more complicated. I should note that this is how I am doing it with my custom settings.
STEP 1: Remember the AssistiveTouch button that helped us when the iPhone 5 home button had issues? Well, you’d need to enable it for this to work. Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > AssistiveTouch > ON.
STEP 2: Go into Settings > General > Shut Down
STEP 3: Tap on the soft-touch Home button, then hold the ‘home’ button for 2 seconds until you see the ‘slide to power off’ screen disappear. That is it. Your RAM is cleared. You can turn off the AssistiveTouch button now.
I added AssistiveTouch to my triple-tap shortcut for quick toggling of the button when I require it.
